✨ What we’ll do:
Gather round the fire for pumpkin soup, bread dampers, and warm spiced apple juice.
Make leafy crowns and tiny clay guardians to watch over the forest as it enters hibernation.
Make a little bit of magic in the mud kitchen.
Save seeds from pumpkins to plant next year.
Craft glowing lanterns to guide the way on our woodland walk.
Share a special circle of thanks and wishes for the season.
🥾 Bring along:
Warm layers, waterproofs, and wellies
Curiosity, wonder, and a sense of magic ✨️
🎃 We will also have a pumpkin drop off station, so if you have any old pumpkins, bring them along to be composted!
Sessions

Family Saturdays
Our Family Session runs on a Saturday afternoon from 2pm-4pm.
Join us for an fun and enriching forest school session for all the family, held at our site on the Dinefwr estate. These sessions are designed to bring families together through experiential learning, playful exploration, and connection with the natural world.
Each week, children and grown-ups alike can enjoy:
🌿 Nature-based crafts using natural materials
🔥 Campfire activities – learn to light fires safely, cook simple snacks, or gather and share stories
🌲 Free play encouraging creativity, confidence, and resilience
Our sessions are rooted in a forest school ethos, nurturing curiosity and care for the environment while supporting social skills and emotional wellbeing.
Whether you're building dens, creating woodland art, or simply soaking in the peace of the forest, there’s something for every member of the family.
Parents/carers must stay with their child during these sessions.
Earth Guardians Home Education Sessions
Our Home Educated integrated sessions are specially designed for children educated other than at school, for children aged 4–12, offering a rich blend of nature-based play, exploration, and seasonal activities.
Rooted in an ethos of experiential learning, child-led discovery, and deep respect for the natural world, our sessions nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Through hands-on experiences like den building, fire lighting, tool use, nature crafts, storytelling, and wild play, children learn by doing — building real-life skills and meaningful connections with each other and the environment.
These are mixed-age, inclusive sessions where children aged 4–12 learn together in a supportive, collaborative environment. Younger and older siblings are always welcome, and under 4s attend free of charge.
Sessions run in all weathers (except extreme conditions), embracing the rhythm of the seasons and the many ways they shape our learning and play.
Parents/carers must stay with their child during these sessions.

Tree Keepers - Baby + Toddler Sessions
A gentle gathering for babies, toddlers, and their grown-ups – a place where play unfolds slowly, led by the rhythms of nature and the wonder of childhood. We splash in puddles, feel the smoothness of pebbles, listen for the rustle of wings, and watch the seasons turn.
With an emphasis on kindness, connection, and care for the environment, Tree Keepers is a chance to slow down, breathe in fresh air, and share special moments together.
Each session offers simple, nurturing activities such as seasonal crafts, sensory nature play, exploring colours and textures, nature-inspired songs and stories, and time for free play and exploration.
Nature Journalling
In this interactive program, children will discover how to identify native trees and plants while crafting their own personal journals. Each session includes how to identify the species, why it is so important, captivating folklore about the plants and traditional crafts. All resources are provided. The final session of each series will include a nature trail to find the trees and plants we have learnt to identify.
Nature Journalling takes place in Carmarthen's environmental centre, SERO.
